Worship Program for 2nd August, 2020

Prelude

“Surely the Presence”

Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place. I can feel His mighty Power and His Grace. I can hear the brush of angels’ wings; I see glory on each face; Surely the Presence of the Lord in this place.

Bible Reading  (Mark 10:32-52)

Lord's Prayer Sung

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by Thy Name.

Thy Kingdom come; Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil;

For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power, and the Glory forever. Amen

Heaven and earth adore Him

What a mighty God we serve!

Message

"The Old Rugged Cross" Plum #327

1) On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,

The emblem of suffering and shame;

And I love that old cross where the dearest and best

For a world of lost sinners was slain.

(Refrain) So I'll cherish the old rugged cross, Till my trophies at last I lay down. I will cling to the old rugged cross. And exchange it someday for a crown.

2) O the old rugged cross, so despised by the world

Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above

To bear it to dark Calvary. (refrain)

3) To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;

Its shame and reproach gladly bear.

Then He'll call me someday to my home far away,

Where His glory forever I'll share. (refrain)
